Every December, designers, decorators, marketers, artists and trend-savvy individuals are eager to learn what the Pantone Color of the Year will be. Everything from popular paint colors, to fashion, to packaging is influenced by this seemingly innocuous announcement.
In 2019, the color to look out for is Living Coral. According to Pantone’s Instagram post, “Living Coral welcomes and encourages lighthearted activity, symbolizing our need for optimism and joyful pursuits, Living Coral embodies our desire for playful expression”. This vision is right in step with our own aspirations for our customers, and we think they’ve made a great choice.
Natalie Vaccaro is one of our Designers/Product Developers who selects and develops trending colors for our product lines. “Coral is a fun and vibrant color,” she says. “It also acts as a perfect splash of color in any situation – whether it’s in fashion, interior design, or working out at the gym.”
Color forecasting is one of many factors our product design team at Augusta Sportswear Brands has to keep at top of mind when designing new apparel. In order to be competitive, we have to be on-trend. Sometimes, this means anticipating future trends more than a year in advance!
